Cloud Database Administrator – Join Our Mission at Purpose Financial!

The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Administrator to join our Enterprise Data team in Greenville, SC. This role involves architecting, designing, and maintaining mission-critical database systems while setting the strategy for our cloud database future. You will work with cutting-edge technologies like AWS and Snowflake to drive our data operations forward.

What You'll Do

• Lead our cloud database strategy, including migrations and new implementations
• Manage and optimize our Snowflake cloud data platform for peak performance and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with scrum teams to design and optimize database operations in AWS
• Implement best practices, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms for system health
• Troubleshoot and optimize advanced SQL queries
• Provide critical after-hours support for database emergencies

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 7+ years of experience with PostgreSQL/Oracle
• 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience
• 2+ years of experience with AWS services (RDS, Aurora, Document DB, Lambda, DMS)
• Deep understanding of data architecture principles and cloud-native HA/DR patterns
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance considerations
• Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments
