Network Engineer Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Greenville, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and performance of network systems, contributing to the seamless operation of our business. This position requires expertise in network configuration, troubleshooting, and security to support the organization's infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain Cisco routers and networking equipment to ensure optimal network performance.
• Manage and deploy Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring robust security measures are in place.
• Implement and troubleshoot Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configurations to optimize network routing.
• Set up and maintain IPv6 connections, including Internet Control Message Protocol for IPv6.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting to resolve connectivity issues and maintain system reliability.
• Establish and maintain Starlink connections to enhance network infrastructure.
• Configure and optimize firewall settings to protect the network from potential threats.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless network hardware and infrastructure integration.
• Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement to maintain high operational standards.
• Document network configurations and processes for future reference and compliance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Cisco routers and networking systems.
• Strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and their deployment.
• Expertise in configuring and managing Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Proficiency in IPv6 setup and troubleshooting, including Internet Control Message Protocol for IPv6.
• Solid understanding of network troubleshooting techniques and tools.
• Familiarity with firewall configuration and security protocols.
• Ability to establish and maintain network connectivity in diverse environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in network engineering tasks.
