Description:

Springbrook Autism Behavioral Health is dedicated to providing caring services for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through residential and outpatient treatment. As part of the Springbrook Behavioral Health System, we utilize an interdisciplinary support network and evidence-based research to coordinate with parents, guardians, and caretakers. Our objective is to assist patients in achieving medication stabilization, behavior modification, and appropriate therapeutic practices. We are located in Greenville, SC and also offer acute inpatient stabilization for adults and geriatrics through our Havenwood facility.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Substance Abuse Counselor located in Travelers Rest, SC. The Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for providing counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse. Daily tasks will include conducting individual and group therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate patient records. The counselor will also actively work on behavior modification techniques and assist in the stabilization of patients.

Qualifications

  • Counseling and therapy skills, including individual and group therapy
  • Ability to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Experience with behavior modification techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with maintaining patient records and documentation
  • Knowledge of substance abuse and addiction therapies
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Relevant certifications and licenses in substance abuse counseling
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred
