Join our Team as a Biocompatibility Science Principal Scientist at Lucideon M+P!

Lucideon is looking to recruit an experienced science and technology leader with experience in the Orthopedic Implants market, to work with our team in Greenville, SC.

We are looking to expand our support for the industry with plans to extend our offering to all areas of biocompatibility technologies to assist our clients in validation and testing studies for regulatory approval; for QA / QC work and in product development. This role will work alongside our existing wear tribology team, focusing on biocompatibility work related to the medical devices industry, and the chemistry and micro analysis capability.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Biocompatibility and extractable / leachability studies
  • Analytical chemistry studies
  • FDA submissions
  • Involvement with industry groups (i.e. ISO working groups, technical conferences, etc.)
  • Applications support driving solutions for customers
  • New service definitions, develop test protocols and implementation
  • Project management
Who You Are

You'll have a minimum of a degree in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Materials Science, with proven experience in the toxicology / biocompatibility / orthopedic / medical device technologies industry and marketplace; evidence of leading and developing others and a thirst for client engagement are important. Strong working knowledge of mass spectrometry for extractables & leachability and ISO 10993 standards. Superb communications skills are essential: written, spoken, listening and stakeholder engagement. You'll be able to bring together clients' needs and not just your own technical expertise but those of the wider organization. It's in your DNA to put the customer at the heart of what you do and deliver with a passion to collaborate.
