Sr. Chemical Process EngineerPay Range:$75 – 120/hr, dependent on experienceÂSummary:The Sr. Chemical Process Engineer will serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) of designs for oil and gas and alternative fuels/energy industry projects. ÂJob Duties:As the Subject Matter Expert, will review conceptual and detailed designs for diverse industries, with emphasis on the oil and gas and alternative fuels/energy industries.Use best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problems.Interface with other engineering disciplines, project management, and clients to provide fully coordinated projects.Perform quality reviews on designs performed by others.Mentor junior engineers on basic engineering applications and principals.Participate in the development of proposals, budgets, and schedules for process-specific work.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Chemical EngineeringMinimum 10+ years of experience in engineering design for the oil and gas and alternative fuels/energy industriesMinimum 20+ years of experience in engineering design as a facilities/plant engineer or as consulting engineerWorking knowledge of ASPEN Plus, ASPEN Batch, and/or PRO/II a plusExperienced user of PipeFlo (Professional and Compressible), AFT Fathom, and HTRIExperience with relief devices calculations, including complex casesFamiliarity with unit operations including but not limited to Gasification, Syngas Processing, Methanol/Ethanol Handling, Distillation, Evaporation, Centrifugation, Drying, Solids Handling and Specialty Gas Handling.Experience as a functional lead for a team of multiple individualsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenForward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contributing with innovative ideasAbility to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teamsWillingness to travel as needed (Up to 20%, Domestic)Preferred:Professional Engineer license a plusFor more information, please Apply and/or email a copy of your resume to Beka Cassidy at: ...@Selectek.net
