General Description

As the Center Manager, you will be responsible for managing all location staff functions to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining the financial integrity of the Company. You will be required to achieve annual/monthly sales and production objectives to ensure profitability. You will also protect all Goodyear assets within your area of responsibility, including inventory, accounts receivable, trucks, and equipment, with the goal of reducing operating costs. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily and annual operations of the commercial tire center
  • Drive sales growth and profitability and manage the productivity of sales staff
  • Attain total customer satisfaction by maintaining a Total Quality Culture and meeting customer business needs
  • Supervise and train Center personnel (including department managers, Service Managers and Office Managers) to promote productivity and upward mobility
  • Keep management informed of competitive products, practices, and distribution
  • Prioritize center workload to meet business needs for maximum benefit
  • Train, motivate, and lead teams to achieve common goals
  • Lead sales personnel in responding to user calls and in preparing/presenting Fleet Tire and Alignment Analysis to maintain market leadership
  • Manage safety, health, and environmental processes, conduct safety huddles, and handle required paperwork for injuries/accidents
  • Perform manual tasks as needed (e.g., handling tires and wheels, standing, bending, squatting)

Basic Requirements

  • 2+ years of successful management experience
  • Valid driver's license for the vehicle type, ability to meet commercial driver qualification requirements, and be at least 21 years old
  • No relocation offered for this position
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to meet commercial driver qualification requirements
  • Associate or bachelor's degree
  • Commercial Tire sales or service experience
  • Knowledge of tire manufacturing and manufacturing process systems

  • Commitment to safety procedures and safe work practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment
  • Self-starter, able to work without direct supervision, with willingness to participate in training
