Operations Associate - Universal Banker

Description:

  • Provide friendly, accurate, and professional service to members in-person, over the phone, and via digital channels.
  • Assist members with opening all types of accounts, explaining terms and disclosures clearly.
  • Respond to member inquiries and resolve basic issues related to accounts, transactions, and services.
  • Educate members about Credit Union products and services and recommend those that best suit their financial needs.
  • Accurately receive and process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and negotiable instruments.
  • Balance personal cash drawer daily and maintain balancing accuracy in accordance with Credit Union policies.
  • Approve check holds and perform teller overrides as authorized.
  • Sell negotiable instruments and maintain accurate member records.
  • Perform all vault-related duties including balancing, preparation, and receipt of cash shipments.
  • Participate in regular audits of teller drawers, TCR/TCD, and other cash-handling equipment.
  • Ensure dual control procedures are followed when accessing cash, vaults, or sensitive areas.
  • Assist with daily opening and closing procedures of the branch.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit various operational reports and logs as assigned.
  • Report malfunctions of teller terminals, dispensers, or other equipment to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all Credit Union products, services, internal policies, and relevant regulatory changes.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep up to date with any changes in procedures, services, or policies.
  • Support fellow team members by sharing knowledge, helping during high-volume periods, and maintaining a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Provide informal guidance and peer support to less experienced tellers when appropriate.
  • Understand and comply with credit union policy, laws, regulations, and the credit union's BSA/AML/CIP/OFAC Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious member and/or account activity.
