Description

Job Summary: Interacts with general contractors, co-workers, and material handlers.Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products by performing the following duties.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
• Assembles orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to customers and/or storage.
• Records amounts of materials or items received, or distributed, and uses a computer to enter records.
• Assist with metal fabrication
• Drives vehicle to transport items from warehouse to other locations or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent Interpersonal skills are essential for effective teamwork.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Forklift certified is a plus.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One year related experience and/or training.

Physical Requirements:

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• While performing the duties the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use arms and hands to reach. Climb and/or balance as needed.
• The job is inside but exposed to a variety of extreme temperature changes.
