Duties, Responsibilities & Other

As a Business Analyst, you will:

  1. Interface between users and project managers bridging the gap between technology and business stakeholders
  2. Perform detailed requirements analysis and the documentation of business processes, test cases and user stories.
  3. Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements
  4. Identify and prioritize technical and functional requirements
  5. Engage with stakeholders and users to understand how data-driven changes to processes, products, services, software, and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value
  6. Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states and optimization strategies
  7. Propose and evaluate solutions to determine what is technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable
  8. Stay current on the latest process and technology advancements to automate and modernize systems
  9. Work efficiently in a team setting on projects to successful completion
  10. Exercise judgement in developing and implementing methods and techniques to obtain desired results following industry best practices
  11. Deliver services within the allocated budget
  12. Develop functional and technical documentation
  13. Regularly interact and build relationships with team members, managers, customers, and business partners including:
    • Support development of proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs)
    • Support business development and marketing initiatives by meeting with customers and prospective customers, attending industry events, and giving presentations
  14. Comply with all KCI policies and procedures
  15. Complete other duties as required/assigned
  • IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional or PMI Professional in Business Analytics certification is preferred
  • Experience in utilities, facilities, transportation, water, and/or state/local government markets is preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or Graduate Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field.
  • Minimum of 4 - 8 years of experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
