With an 18% stake in Scorpius Space Launch Company (SSLC) and plans for full acquisition in 2025, EXOS leverages SSLCs TRL-9 Type 5 liner-less, carbon-composite cryogenic tanks, validated on the Intuitive Machines IM-1 lunar mission. These tanks, built with Hexcel carbon fiber and SSLCs Sapphire 77 resin, use room-temperature, out-of-autoclave curing for superior strength and thermal stability. Our Greenville facility seeks skilled technicians with mechanical aptitude, trade expertise, and CNC familiarity, akin to Aircraft Aviation Technicians, to advance reusable rocket and composite technologies.
ASSEMBLY & MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN:
The Assembly & Mechanical Technician assembles, maintains, tests & integrates mechanical, instrumentation, and carbon-composite systems for reusable space vehicles. This role requires hands-on mechanical skills, instrumentation expertise, and basic CNC operation-mirroring an Aircraft Aviation Technicians capabilities. You will assemble SSLCs Type 5 tanks and flight hardware, troubleshoot systems and support vehicle operations with the Operations Team post-assembly. The position demands independent problem-solving and attention to detail for safe, reliable spaceflight.
