At Bigham Cable Construction, Inc., as a warehouse technician, you'll keep everything running smoothly by managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. You'll ensure orders are filled accurately, track inventory, and follow safety and packaging guidelines, all while working with equipment and handling materials to support the team.

Responsibilities include: preparing orders for shipment according to pick tickets and customer requirements, checking and verifying inventory to ensure availability of needed stock, notifying the supervisor of shortages and packaging material restocking needs, packaging and shipping products according to packaging guidelines and practices, stocking shelves in the warehouse and putting away new materials, organizing pick tickets and cross-checking them with packing slips and work orders, receiving, unloading, and inspecting shipments; confirming accuracy with packing slips and purchase orders, operating dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift for loading and unloading materials, working overtime, travel, and performing on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements include: being 18 years of age or older, authorization to work in the United States for this company, high school diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience, valid state driver's license (cannot be provisional), including an acceptable driving record, able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card, experience operating a forklift and pallet jack is preferred, and basic knowledge of computer and inventory control systems.
Physical abilities and exposures include: routinely working alone in remote locations, operating vehicle, bending, stooping, standing, walking, lifting up to 55 pounds, operating vehicle and heavy machinery, climbing stairs, using keyboard and mouse, occasionally working in confined spaces or remote locations with arms above shoulder level, lifting greater than 55 pounds, squeezing, fine hand motion, and using portable ladder.
