Maintain student academic grades and attendance
Attend chapel and BJA faculty meetings
Communicate the religious beliefs of BJA to students and student affiliates
Answer questions concerning BJA's statement of faith and biblical position to parents, students, or those inquiring about BJA
Maintain professional appearance and presentation
Partner with parents to support student growth
Communicate expectations consistently with parents
Communicate grades on a timely basis through the Student Management System
Resolve parental concerns in a timely and gracious manner
Engage parents in matters of student discipleship
Maintain a professional growth mindset
Attend school-wide professional development days
Attend conferences in academic field
Participate in Professional Learning Communities
Collaborate with subject area department
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in appropriate level education preferred
Degree in area of teaching plus appropriate experience preferred; work on graduate degree preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Able to communicate a biblical worldview and integrate biblical principles into subject matter
Developing expert knowledge of teaching field
Able to incorporate digital technology in instruction
Demonstrate excellent communication skills in the classroom and interpersonally with students
Developing organizational abilities in teaching and classroom management
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Microsoft PowerPoint
Microsoft Word
Must be comfortable in a digital environment and able to learn the school management system
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
Teacher certification preferred
Will need to apply for a teaching certificate from the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools
