Maytronics, the leading innovator in automatic pool robotics and parent company to the Dolphin pool cleaning brand, is in search of a Warehouse Transportation Specialist for our Piedmont, SC location. The Warehouse Transportation Specialist is responsible for coordination of inbound and outbound shipments while supporting efficient warehouse operations. This role ensures accurate documentation, compliance with transportation regulations, and strong communication between carriers and warehouse staff. This role also ensures the timely scheduling of freight in our retail customers' transportation management system to achieve on-time, cost-effective, and safe movement of goods with no compliance fines.

Responsibilities:
• Schedule, track, and monitor inbound and outbound freight (Prepaid & Freight Collect).
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure all shipping documents, bills of lading, and compliance paperwork are prepared accurately for each shipment, including international shipments.
• Resolve shipping delays, delivery exceptions, and transportation issues with internal business partners.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure shipments are staged, loaded, and unloaded efficiently.
• Assist with inventory checks and verification of outbound orders.
• Support cross-docking, returns, and special handling requirements for customer shipments (i.e. residential deliveries or special handling needs).
• Support other duties for the warehouse team as assigned.
• Work with carriers to schedule appointments and secure transportation capacity.
• Maintain relationships with logistics providers and evaluate carrier performance.
• Support freight cost control efforts by monitoring rates and charges.
• Process any applicable freight carrier claims on behalf of the company.
• Ensure all transportation activities comply with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and transportation activities that support the company's record retention policy.
• Support audits and reporting requirements for transportation compliance.
• Track key transportation metrics (on-time delivery, freight costs, claims).
• Provide daily/weekly shipment reports to management.
• Recommend improvements in the warehouse and transportation processes to reduce costs and improve service.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or transportation operations.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, freight classification, and shipping documentation.
  • Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office.
  • Retail Link Experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Forklift certification or familiarity with material handling equipment (preferred).

Working Conditions

  • Split time in the office & warehouse environment.
  • Frequent exposure to warehouse and dock areas.
  • Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed for shipment deadlines, especially during continuous weeks in the company's peak shipping periods.
