This position is primarily responsible for working within the finance team at the golf ball manufacturing facility located in Liberty, South Carolina to conduct purchasing and contracting activities within contractual guidelines, inventory management, inventory control, procurement, contracting activities, and cost savings initiatives.
Create requisitions and purchase orders for the equipment and indirect materials related to golf ball manufacturing in Liberty; Responsible for preparation, approval, and matching of purchase orders.
Work with vendors to perform routine price checks on spend and services for cost-saving opportunities and ensure expectations concerning pricing and support in RFQs.
Provide regular reporting of outstanding invoices and/or services performed to accrue for clarity in Liberty's monthly closing and P&L.
Responsible for new vendor setup and submitting to Accounts Payable following TM internal controls and processes.
Support ongoing efforts to increase visibility/control on spend and reduce audit risk by working with internal and external partners to identify goods and services that can be managed in-house.
Collaborate with and support the Finance team during the regular monthly close process.
Assist production team with inventory management and end-of-month counts
Assist finance with cost savings initiatives.
Assist with management of critical vendors and ongoing vendor consolidation efforts.
Monitor non-consignment MRO inventories and initiate orders within established guidelines.
Assist with developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
Assist with inventory management and yearly audits.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Working knowledge of accounting functions (i.e., ability to complete purchase orders)
Experience with Oracle and/or other ERP management software.
Fluent in English; written and verbal; ability to communicate effectively.
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
Strong organization skills.
Proficient in Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
Effective problem-solving techniques.
Ability to make process improvement recommendations.
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred
2 or more years of experience in purchasing or similar field.
Normal office conditions, heavy computer use
Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials

The expected hourly base pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00.
