Join the Global LT community as an English Language Teacher providing in-person lessons to clients. We are hiring English Language Teachers to deliver structured English instruction to learners in Greer, SC.

Position: English language teacher for children (freelance/contract)

• Location: Greer, South Carolina near Trail Branch Ct.
• Preferred start date: ASAP
• Availability: Tuesday and Thursday between 4:00 pm 8:00 pm
• Lesson Duration: 1 hour each
• Languages: Portuguese (native), Spanish (other)
• Goals: Improve speaking, self-expression, and overall communication; grammar, vocabulary building, and common phrases; texting, slang, and polite expressions in daily life; writing, reading, and making friends
• Interests to incorporate: Sports, sports cars, fishing, history, American historical figures
• Additional requirement: Structured classes with plenty of conversation

Responsibilities

• Design structured lessons with strong focus on conversation practice
• Integrate grammar, vocabulary, slang, and common expressions into real-life contexts
• Provide practice in reading, writing, and social communication
• Incorporate the students interests (sports, history, cars) into lessons to boost engagement
• Support the student in adapting to social and cultural aspects of life in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in English
• Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, linguistics, or related field
• Experience teaching teenagers, ideally in academic and conversational settings
• Ability to balance structured lesson planning with interactive, interest-based activities
