JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Mixing Operator in Fountain, SC. Our client is a Manufacturing Company. The Mixing Operator is responsible for:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate a variety of dosing/weighing/mixing/blending equipment which include Silverson High Sheer Mixers, High Speed Dispersers, scales, filter housings, transfer pumps.
• Read and interpret mixing instructions and recipes
• Accurately weigh, measure, dose specific amounts of raw materials into mixing tanks
• Monitor the mixing process for quality and consistency by performing various in-process quality checks
• Extract samples for quality control testing
• Document production data
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
• Maintain an accurate inventory through activities such as: proper reporting of material usage, minimizing wastes, and ensuring that measuring devices are properly calibrated
• Coordinate with team members to manage workflow and production schedule
• Safely stage and move materials by hand and by operating a powered industrial truck
• Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA, EPA guidelines, and Saati-specific EHS expectations
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
• Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years mixing experience in a chemical manufacturing environment required
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards in manufacturing
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery
• Solid math skills for weighing and measuring materials.
• Able to safely perform related physical demands of the role: lift up to 50 pounds as needed, stand for long periods of time and use hands and arms repetitively.
• Ability to read GHS Safety Data Sheets/Labels
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent time management skills, reliable transportation and punctuality
• SAP, Excel knowledge

REQUIRED Experience and Education:
High Diploma or G.E.D
