The Process Engineering intern reports to an Engineering Manager and a responsibility for supporting process and project work through analysis and design of emulsion polymerization, adhesives, and coatings processes. Primary Responsibilities:The chemical engineering intern will be responsible for calculation and design support for capital projects and process improvements, including: Evaluation and design of dust hazards and scrubbing systems Batch cycle time studies and improvement Updating site PSI Documentation/design of site pressure safety valves Smaller process improvement opportunities, including sizing, ordering, and installing pumps, controls valves, or other process equipment. Minimum Qualifications:Must be pursuing a B. S. as a rising Junior/ Senior in Chemical Engineering Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with AutoCAD or other drafting software Prior experience with Excel, Matlab, or other calculation-enabling programs.
