The Buyer, leads the development and execution of purchasing processes within the Materials Management Organization. Purchasing through negotiation, plan development, and execution. As a Buyer, you will strategically develop and manage a global supply plan for goods and services to geographically diverse locations, while driving a commercial advantage through achievement of quality, delivery, and cost targets. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and effect short-term and long-term business goals. This is a contract position.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree OR
a high school diploma /GED and with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, materials planning, inventory management or warehouse/distribution centers.
• 4 years of experience in Buyer, Purchasing, or Scheduler position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure timely creation and release of Purchase Orders to support the primary schedule.
• Collaborate with supply partners and Materials Resource Planner to drive fulfillment activities
and ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including managing scheduling changes
and cancelations.
• Keep ERP system up to date and accurate to the current state of supply.
• Apply appropriate Sourcing policies and execute sourcing program initiatives for strategic
sourcing team, including management of deflation activities and supply chain risk mitigation.
• Support initiatives, including lead time reduction, New Product Introduction (NPI), payment
terms and cash flow improvements.
• Manage projects in a matrix organization globally.
• Act as the primary source of contact for supply partners operational needs.
