Description:

A local nonprofit organization serving students from under-resourced communities is hiring a High School Program Coordinator. This full-time leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the high school programming, including daily operations, curriculum delivery, student transportation, and family engagement. The role sets the tone for a supportive and empowering environment, guides students in achieving personal and academic goals, and collaborates with the leadership team to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and daily execution of high school programs, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with values
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with students and families to promote trust, belonging, and consistent engagement
  • Oversee development and implementation of Individual Success Plans (ISPs) tailored to each student's needs and goals
  • Provide after-school transportation support for students, ensuring safety and reliability
  • Guide students in achieving academic, career, and personal goals, including job readiness, driver's education, college/career planning, and time-sensitive deadlines
  • Direct enrichment activities, partner-led opportunities, and mentoring experiences
  • Supervise and coordinate volunteers, mentors, and guest facilitators during high school programming
  • Track and document ISP progress, program participation, and student outcomes to inform evaluation and reporting
  • Cultivate and sustain partnerships with parents, schools, and community organizations to strengthen support for students
  • Assist with program events, family engagement, and community partner activities
  • Support special projects such as annual reports, impact storytelling, or school-based events
  • Represent the organization at community meetings and partner events
  • Participate in staff development, trainings, and retreats

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working with middle or high school youth
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in youth-focused environments
  • Patience, empathy, and emotional awareness when working with teens
  • Effective time management, organizational skills, and follow-through
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to build relationships with students and families from diverse backgrounds

Benefits & Compensation:

  • $45,000 - $50,000
  • No group health insurance
  • PTO + school holiday schedule
