Keyresponsibilities:

Air Freight Manager duties and responsibilities will include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Compliance with all TSA, DOT and Customs regulations (US and Foreign)
• Develop and maintain air carrier relationship
• Maximize profits through pricing, negotiation and operation excellence on air freights
• Manage bids, carrier negotiation and rate management
• TSA security coordinator responsibilities
• Development and maintenance of strong long-term customer and vendor relationships
• AES administrator responsibilities
• Management and Execution of all daily operations of Air Freight/Projects
• Management, training and motivation of existing operations team
• Consistent excellence in Reliability, Professionalism and Teamwork
• Work constructively in a team oriented environment to ensure customer & overseas offices requirements are met
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of the air freight department
• Follow code of conduct and ensure that same is followed by the project team
• Role may expand beyond air freight and could include project/key account shipments of other modes of transport
• Passing the IATA Dangerous Goods by Air, Excluding Radioactive Cat 3 will be required in order to remain in this position
• Comply with all safe work practices and procedures set in place by deugro
• Enforce deugro OHS Policy and Procedures
• Work with due care and consideration to safeguard own health and safety and the health and safety of others
• Report incidents/accidents/near misses

• Minimum 5 - 7 years of Air Export experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or education equivalence
• Understanding of TACT and IATA rules and regulations
• Excellent communication - Verbal & Written
• Computer skills - MS Windows 7, MS Office
• Positive attitude - Strong interpersonal relationships and detail orientated
• Focus - Pay attention to the customer's needs and commit to exceeding them
• Problem solving ability as well as the ability to analyze and interpret data
• Ability to learn and adjust and to work under pressure and resolve conflict
