Keyresponsibilities:
Air Freight Manager duties and responsibilities will include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Compliance with all TSA, DOT and Customs regulations (US and Foreign)
- Develop and maintain air carrier relationship
- Maximize profits through pricing, negotiation and operation excellence on air freights
- Manage bids, carrier negotiation and rate management
- TSA security coordinator responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of strong long-term customer and vendor relationships
- AES administrator responsibilities
- Management and Execution of all daily operations of Air Freight/Projects
- Management, training and motivation of existing operations team
- Consistent excellence in Reliability, Professionalism and Teamwork
- Work constructively in a team oriented environment to ensure customer & overseas offices requirements are met
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of the air freight department
- Follow code of conduct and ensure that same is followed by the project team
- Role may expand beyond air freight and could include project/key account shipments of other modes of transport
- Passing the IATA Dangerous Goods by Air, Excluding Radioactive Cat 3 will be required in order to remain in this position
- Comply with all safe work practices and procedures set in place by deugro
- Enforce deugro OHS Policy and Procedures
- Work with due care and consideration to safeguard own health and safety and the health and safety of others
- Report incidents/accidents/near misses

- Minimum 5 - 7 years of Air Export experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or education equivalence
- Understanding of TACT and IATA rules and regulations
- Excellent communication - Verbal & Written
- Computer skills - MS Windows 7, MS Office
- Positive attitude - Strong interpersonal relationships and detail orientated
- Focus - Pay attention to the customer's needs and commit to exceeding them
- Problem solving ability as well as the ability to analyze and interpret data
- Ability to learn and adjust and to work under pressure and resolve conflict
