This role supports electrical controls systems within a continuous process production environment, with a focus on automation upgrades, troubleshooting, and project leadership.

• Design, install, troubleshoot, and support automation controls systems (PLC/HMI/Servo)
• Program and modify Siemens TIA Portal, DCS, and other logic-based systems
• Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and system integrations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve machine performance and uptime
• Provide technical leadership, training, and development for maintenance technicians
• Develop documentation, LOTO procedures, and equipment guides
• Lead or support plant-wide controls and automation projects from concept to completion
• Maintain familiarity with the latest controls tech, safety standards, and industry best practices

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred (Electrical or related field)
• 3-5 years of experience in a controls/automation engineer role
• Proficient with Siemens TIA Portal and industrial controls software
• Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, drives, and sensor technologies
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and troubleshooting methodology
• Ability to lead and coach cross-functional technical teams
• Excellent project management and documentation skills
• Comfortable supporting 24/7 operations as needed (off-hours availability may be required)
