Associate Director, Operational Excellence

Description:

HTI is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Operational Excellence for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer. This position will be responsible for driving cost savings and continuous improvement (CI) strategies across the site, fostering a Lean Six Sigma culture, and expanding operational excellence across departments.This position is Direct Hire, M-F 1st shift. The pay range is $150,000 - $160,000 (Up to 15% bonus) depending on experience.

What You Need:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification (preferred)
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Proven track record leading 5+ successful CI projects with documented cost savings
  • Background in GMP environments is a plus
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong project management and cross-functional influence capabilities

What Your Role Will Look Like:
The Associate Director of Operational Excellence will lead Lean initiatives, drive strategic improvements, and foster accountability across the site. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends people management, project execution, and CI opportunity discovery.
  • Lead and manage site-level Lean Six Sigma strategies and CI projects
  • Mentor and coach Green Belts, Black Belts, and other team members
  • Manage a small team, along with supporting supervisors on specific initiatives
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and identify efficiency opportunities on the floor
  • Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Oversee execution of Rapid Improvement Events and project pipelines
  • Deliver executive-level reports with risk and ROI analysis
  • Help drive a CI culture through training, coaching, and change management
  • Short term: Tackle existing CI opportunities upon start
  • Long term: Expand CI impact across departments and eventually across sites
