Our Client needs a Labor Foreman to help support the US Army's Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP V) for the US Department of Defense Africa Command (AFRICOM) at Airbase 101, Niamey, Niger, Africa.

Duties

• Leads a team of laborers / utility workers
• Ensures that labor services are provided in a timely, effective manner that supports overall project execution
• Performs the work of subordinate personnel as needed. Develops and maintains work schedules and routes for labor crews
• Provides labor services which may include tasks such as soil work, material delivery and removal, jobsite cleanup, refuse removal, site preparation, road surface maintenance and a variety of manual tasks
• Works closely with supported management to track status of ongoing activities
• Ensures crew completion of work orders according to specifications and regulations, makes recommendations to management
• As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with "General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities"
• Function in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions

Experience & Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED equivalent preferred
• Two to four years related experience
• Requires the English language, technical skills, job knowledge and physical ability necessary to perform assigned Labor Foreman functions.
• Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred
• Background checks are carried out as part of any conditional offer made, including (but not limited to & role dependent) education, professional registration, employment, references, passport verifications and Global Watchlist screening.
