Our Client needs a Labor Foreman to help support the US Army's Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP V) for the US Department of Defense Africa Command (AFRICOM) at Airbase 101, Niamey, Niger, Africa.
Duties
Leads a team of laborers / utility workers
Ensures that labor services are provided in a timely, effective manner that supports overall project execution
Performs the work of subordinate personnel as needed. Develops and maintains work schedules and routes for labor crews
Provides labor services which may include tasks such as soil work, material delivery and removal, jobsite cleanup, refuse removal, site preparation, road surface maintenance and a variety of manual tasks
Works closely with supported management to track status of ongoing activities
Ensures crew completion of work orders according to specifications and regulations, makes recommendations to management
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with "General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities"
Function in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions
Experience & Qualifications
High school diploma / GED equivalent preferred
Two to four years related experience
Requires the English language, technical skills, job knowledge and physical ability necessary to perform assigned Labor Foreman functions.
Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred
