Description:

Maintenance Technician II performs skilled work in the inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of distribution systems and related equipment. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of distribution infrastructure, responding to service requests, and supporting system upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong knowledge of the principles, practices and objectives of basic maintenance to include repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, construction, forklift repair, power tools, preventative maintenance, heating and cooling, blueprint, automated packaging, and distribution equipment along with schematics.
  • Ability to perform mechanical work, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement.
  • Inspect, maintain, repair, and install distribution system components such as conveyor systems, pipelines, valves, meters, hydrants, pumps, regulators, and related equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on distribution assets to ensure operational reliability.
  • Locate and repair leaks, breaks, or other issues in distribution lines.
  • Respond to service calls, emergencies, and customer complaints; troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with system upgrades, replacements, and new installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment serviced.
  • Read and interpret maps, blueprints, and distribution system schematics.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
  • Capacity to utilize effective time management skills and be able to work under the stress of multiple deadlines, requests from other departments, and interruptions with accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulations, and company standards.
  • Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.

  • Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule.

Requirements:
  • 2-3 years 'experience in a distribution warehouse setting in facility maintenance position
  • High school diploma with associates degree preferred
  • Strong aptitude for and proficiency navigating Systems and Programs
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone
  • Knowledge of distribution system operations, construction practices, and repair methods.
  • Ability to operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles safely.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and make sound decisions in the field.
  • Valid driver's license
