Our client, a Tier 1 automotive supplier located in Greenville, SC, is looking for a hands-on Paint Process Engineerto lead robotic paint application and programming (Fanuc preferred) in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on optimizing existing paint systems, troubleshooting quality issues, and supporting new model launches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, optimize, and maintain paint robots (Fanuc) and related equipment

• Monitor and improve paint application quality (film thickness, adhesion, surface finish)

• Troubleshoot paint-related defects and lead root cause analysis

• Support new model launches and equipment upgrades

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and coach operators/technicians

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, etc.)

• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards

• 5+ years in paint process engineering (automotive or plastics)

• Strong experience with paint application and robot programming

• Fanuc robot programming preferred

• Engineering degree preferred, but not required

• Understanding of conveyor/robot integration and paint application systems
