Job Title: Phlebotomist I

Shift: Mon - Thur 8am - 3pm
Job Summary:

The PSR I serves as the face of the company to patients visiting for routine healthcare or critical health decisions. Responsibilities include drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a professional, patient-centered environment. The PSR I must perform procedures with accuracy, compassion, and a focus on confidentiality, while upholding leadership behaviors and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Phlebotomy & Specimen Collection:

• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collections confidently and skillfully.
• Collect blood specimens from pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients.
• Follow established practices and procedures to prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Ensure accurate labeling and patient information verification.

• Establish trust and confidence by explaining procedures clearly to patients.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and promote a positive image.
• Deliver superior customer service in a high-paced, patient-facing environment.

• Accurately maintain required records and documentation.
• Uphold confidentiality of patient information.
• Comply with all company policies and health & safety standards.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Work under the direction of the area supervisor to complete tasks on time.
• Adapt to scheduling needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• Ability to deliver accurate, error-free work under pressure.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills (pediatric and geriatric experience preferred).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle high-volume settings and multiple priorities.

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Required: Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience.

• Training location and hours may vary depending on need.
