Position: Industrial Engineer

Location: Greenville, SC

Job Type: On-site

Reports to: Facility Manager

Department: North American Operations

Position Purpose: To become the SME on Systems and Processes. Devise efficient systems and processes for continuous improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Ensure thesafe operation of teams through regular communications, work observations and modeling a "Safety, it's Your Life" mentality.
  • Help companies increase productivity.
  • Optimize methods of business organization.
  • Study product requirements and design manufacturing and information systems to meet requirements.
  • Develop management control systems.
  • Perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes.
  • Perform the diagnosis of mechanical problems and determine how to correct them.
  • Employees must be able to adapt to a changing schedule, length of working hours, shift in break times, and tasks both consistently and continuously.
  • Must effectively and efficiently work within teams and maintain accountability when working individually.
  • Installs, repairs, and maintains the electrical parts of industrial equipment.
  • Works individually or as part of a team to successfully complete projects.
  • Follows safety procedures and adheres to electrical codes.
  • Correctly read electrical drawings for proper execution of assignments.
  • Troubleshot 480 -- 24-volt industrial systems.
  • Install electrical feed circuits.
  • Effectively manages the Leadec scope of work (SOW).
  • Effectively communicates necessary information and status updates to manager.
  • Incorporates "PDCA" (Plan, Do, Check, Act) mindset into regular routine.
  • Focuses on labor, equipment, and tools allocation, best practice guidelines, and continuous improvement.
  • Effectively communicates necessary information to management.
  • Management of all required Leadec and customer reporting processes.
  • Actively attends all required meetings.
  • Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
  • All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

Position Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of industrial electrical experience.
  • Certificate of completion in an apprenticeship program, or journeyman experience.
  • Experience working on systems from 13. kV down to 24 vDC.
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Fluent use of English language/Reading/Writing/Speaking Required.
  • Must have their own hand tools.
  • Must be able to run conduit.
  • Must be able to handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Must be able to be licensed for equipment if applicable.
  • Must be able to successfully pass all required safety related training courses, physical, and maintain the ability to work in the position in a manner that reflects both safety specific mental and physical awareness and satisfactory performance.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:

  • Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate to high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
  • Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
