Description:

We are looking for an efficient Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. You will facilitate daily HR functions like keeping track of employees records and supporting the interview process. Your role involves performing tasks with a focus to grow our company's talent pipeline and improve our sourcing tactics. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. He/She will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations.*This position is located at Sage Automotive Interiors- Gayley Plant

Responsibilities:

  • Follow and promote all safety initiatives. Prepare and Present Safety Presentations. Lead and Facilitate Safety Subcommittee Meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain required regularly scheduled HR, Safety or Operations reports (headcount, turnover, birthdays, year of service, etc.); distribute to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and mail letters on verification of employment.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date personnel records utilizing the HRIS system (Workday): contact information, direct deposit, associate pay changes, job class and associate work schedule.
  • Create flyers and prepare email notifications to all associates on upcoming events. Maintain plant-wide bulletin boards with current compliance posters, and job postings.
  • Schedule and setup meetings, Plant Manager luncheons, and vendor meetings/visits, etc. Order lunches and prepare conference rooms prior to guests arriving.
  • Collect and sort internal/external mail and forward it to the appropriate Sage location as needed.
  • Answer and direct calls and greet visitors daily.
  • Coordinate, execute and assist in the planning of company sponsored events for safety, associate/management training, benefits enrollment, and community involvement.
  • Maintain and organize documents, correspondences, and personnel files including associates on FMLA/Leave of absence.
  • Conduct and assist in the preparation of annual internal/external audits for the Human Resources and Safety departments which include all I-9 and personnel files for active and terminated associates.
  • Oversee the recruiting, onboarding/offboarding process.
  • Conduct new hire orientation by providing orientation information packets; reviewing company policies; gathering withholding and other payroll information; explaining benefit programs and provide an overview of Workday.
  • Create new hire profile in HRIS (Workday) and appropriate personnel files.
  • Attend and arrange careers fairs.
  • Prepare and post job openings on internal job board and obtain outside candidate sourcing through temporary staffing agencies or through Indeed.
  • Review resumes, make initial contact and schedule interviews with appropriate department managers.
  • Schedule pre-employment physicals and run background checks.
  • Validate information on I-9, including documentation substantiating right to work (E-Verify).
  • Update and manage plant manning board with new hires and job changes
  • Process and review unemployment claims. If necessary, provide validating documents to support data entered.
  • Point of contact for associates, management, and plant leaders on the functionality and training on transactions and system related questions including benefits in Workday.
  • Other tasks/duties as assigned by Company leadership.
Job Classification Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate with all areas of the company.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
  • Proficient in administrative skills.
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); knowledge/ experience within Workday or other similar HRIS system preferred.
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive, highly confidential matters including employee relations, and company files.
  • Active participation in team meetings, training which may require travel to other plant locations and departments.
  • Ability to work unsupervised/unaccompanied. Pre-Approved Overtime required.
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and sense of urgency, with the ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
