Schedule: M-F' Hybrid

Our client is a progressive, growing civil engineering firm. They are looking for you, an experienced Structural Engineer with Pulp & Paper industry experience.

What you get to do:

  • Perform structural analysis and design of industrial structures, including equipment foundations, pipe supports, platforms, retaining walls, and steel/concrete framing systems.
  • Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with applicable codes (e.g., IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE).
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather field data, and verify as-built configurations in brownfield environments.
  • Collaborate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate structural systems into multi-disciplinary project designs.
  • Provide structural support for retrofits, expansions, and new construction at pulp and paper facilities.
  • Support preparation of construction bid packages, cost estimates, and material take-offs.
  • Perform structural inspections, prepare condition assessments, and generate engineering reports with recommended corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and project-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors and provide technical support during construction, including field modifications and problem-solving.
What you need to succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the pulp and paper or heavy industrial sector.
