Our client, a Tier 1 automotive supplier located in Greenville, SC, is looking for a hands-on Paint Process Engineerto lead robotic paint application and programming (Fanuc preferred) in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on optimizing existing paint systems, troubleshooting quality issues, and supporting new model launches. Key Responsibilities: Program, optimize, and maintain paint robots (Fanuc) and related equipmentMonitor and improve paint application quality (film thickness, adhesion, surface finish)Troubleshoot paint-related defects and lead root cause analysisSupport new model launches and equipment upgradesCollaborate with cross-functional teams and coach operators/techniciansChampion continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, etc.)Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standardsQualifications: 5+ years in paint process engineering (automotive or plastics)Strong experience with paint application and robot programmingFanuc robot programming preferredEngineering degree preferred, but not requiredUnderstanding of conveyor/robot integration and paint application systems
