Job Purpose

We are seeking an Electronics and Instrumentation Technician to join our manufacturing team. Candidates must have good troubleshooting and problem solving skills with the ability to work and communicate efficiently and safely. Technicians will work and interface with maintenance team, operators, engineers, mechanics, etc. and must be willing to take ownership of the assigned asset, equipment or area.

Principal Accountabilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, repair and perform both predictive and preventive maintenance on production process equipment, instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure a quality product.
  • The successful candidate should have knowledge of:
    • Basic operation of DC & AC circuits
    • Basic operation of 3-phase AC power
    • DC/AC motor theory
    • DC/AC drive theory
    • Function and operation of fuses and circuit breakers
    • Electrical relay logic circuits
    • Operation of PLC's
    • Temperature, pressure and flow control loops
    • How to read & interpret electrical drawings and instrument loop sheets
    • How to read, interpret and troubleshoot PLC programs
    • How to use basic hand tools (including Volt-Ohm meters)
  • Maintain area housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace
  • Interact with other Technicians to share maintenance knowledge on similar equipment or related Maintenance problems.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology or an equivalent Technical College Curriculum or equivalent training as obtained via the Military. Prior Applicable Industrial Maintenance experience (minimum 2 years). Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must have good troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills. Must be willing to work: 1) rotating 4 days on - 4 days off shift or 2) M-F day shift. Willing to work overtime and emergency call-in work as needed.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $28.85 - $31.00. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
