Wabtec is hiring a Waste Management Specialist to help support our production operations by ensuring scrap and waste materials are handled safely, efficiently, and responsibly. If you're organized, safety-focused, and have forklift experience, this could be a perfect fit!
What You'll Need
Forklift experience (valid certification required with proof of certification)
High school diploma or GED
Knowledge of 5S workplace organization is a plus
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (and occasionally up to 50 lbs with crane assistance)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
What You'll Be Doing
Manage and dispose of waste generated by daily operations in Shipping, Warehouse, and Receiving
Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste materials into designated containers
Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned work areas
Collaborate with production line team members to maintain safe waste-handling practices
Work Environment
You'll be working in an indoor manufacturing setting , regularly exposed to production machinery and forklift traffic
Frequent walking, standing, and lifting required throughout the shift
Daily face-to-face interaction with employees on the production floor
Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is mandatory
Mental Demands
Read, interpret, and act on safety and operational documents
Solve basic problems and support continuous improvement efforts
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and leaders

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Employment contingent on passing a drug screen and fitness-for-duty assessment (if applicable)
Pay Details: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour
