Expand your professional portfolio as a Purchaser with our client in Greenville, SC. As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for managing the daily process of converting purchase requisitions into purchase orders for your assigned suppliers and tracking the progress of open orders to ensure timely delivery. You will collaborate with the factory and planning teams to stay informed about priority needs and will work with suppliers to expedite or adjust delivery schedules accordingly. Additionally, you will coordinate with the sourcing team when negotiations or alternative sources are necessary. This is a contract position.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical, Business, Supply Chain OR

a high school diploma /GED and with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, materials planning, inventory management or warehouse/distribution centers.

• 4 years of experience in Buyer, Purchasing, or Scheduler position.

Essential Functions:

Ensure timely creation and release of Purchase Orders to support the primary schedule.

• Collaborate with supply partners and Materials Resource Planner to drive fulfillment activities

and ensure on-time delivery.

• Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including managing scheduling changes

and cancelations.

• Keep ERP system up to date and accurate to the current state of supply.

• Apply appropriate Sourcing policies and execute sourcing program initiatives for strategic

sourcing team, including management of deflation activities and supply chain risk mitigation.

• Support initiatives, including lead time reduction, New Product Introduction (NPI), payment

terms and cash flow improvements.

• Manage projects in a matrix organization globally.

• Act as the primary source of contact for supply partners operational needs.
