Vice President of Finance, USA

Role Purpose – Finance in Spirax Sarco

This role is a critical member of the Senior Executive team, leading the execution of the company's vision, advancement, and growth strategy. Reporting directly to the General Manager & President of Sales, this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of the USA OpCo and the Americas Division of Steam Thermal Solutions. As part of the USA Executive team, you will drive cultural change to make Spirax Sarco USA a great place to work.

You will be a key player in providing Finance Business Partner support, articulating and implementing the Customer First strategy, and supporting the Sales organization to make sound commercial decisions that foster growth. You will also lead strategic and improvement projects within your scope.

Key Aspects of the Role

1. Strategic Finance Advice and Support: Partner with senior management and the GM to support business goals, develop insightful reporting, and lead internal efficiency projects or business opportunities.
2. Leading the Finance Profession: Ensure the provision of necessary financial services, control, and integrity. Lead talent development and continuous improvement within the Finance function, including managing the Shared Service finance organization.
3. ERP and Business Case Support: Contribute to the implementation of ERP platforms and other back-office processes.
4. Performance Reporting & Business Planning: Develop systems for performance analysis, ensure data accuracy, and lead forecasting improvements.
5. Decision Support: Provide advice on interpreting financial data to facilitate timely decisions.
6. Business Improvement Initiatives: Involve in operational issues, monitor spend, and validate significant investments.
7. Internal Controls: Act as sponsor for governance and internal controls, addressing weaknesses and audit findings.
8. Culture of Inclusion & Wellbeing: Promote inclusive and supportive behavior within the leadership teams.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
• 5+ years of leadership experience in relevant roles
• Advantageous to have CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CPA certification
• Extensive financial planning and analysis experience
• Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience in risk management, budgeting, and forecasting

Preferred Experience

• Leadership in finance within an operating business
• Business partnering with senior management
• Experience with ERP, shared services, and process change
• Knowledge of Local GAAP, IFRS, tax, and treasury operations
• Experience in internal controls, risk management, and commercial contracting
