Job Title: Gas Turbine Deputy Project Engineer

Location: On-site in Greenville, SC or Schenectady, NY

Travel Requirement: Up to 25%

Assignment Duration: 18 month W2 Contract

Experience Level: Minimum 5 years

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Gas Turbine Deputy Project Engineer to join our global client's on-site team in either Greenville, SC or Schenectady, NY. This role provides technical leadership and coordination in support of gas turbine projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery aligned with customer requirements and project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering guidance to Project Management and Customer Applications teams.
• Lead Customer Kick-Off Meetings and Design Liaison Meetings with clients and EPC representatives.
• Interpret contract requirements and ensure proper communication and documentation across design functions.
• Identify and resolve schedule risks to prevent delays in deliverables.
• Support cross-functional teams—including engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, suppliers, and installation—to meet technical and business objectives.
• Maintain regular communication with internal engineering groups and documentation platforms.
• Deliver effective customer-facing communication and technical problem-solving.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical equipment engineering.
• Experience with plant systems, manufacturing, assembly, field installation, and testing.
• Ability to navigate and resolve complex technical issues across functions.
• Demonstrated leadership in communication and problem resolution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution OR high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of direct experience in project engineering, design engineering, or field engineering for gas turbine systems.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
