Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Systems Engineer with expertise in BWR (Boiling Water Reactor) systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Nuclear Plant Safety Systems and Components, and the ability to perform complex design calculations, evaluations, and system verifications.
This role involves working with multi-disciplined engineering teams to provide support for various nuclear safety and non-safety system functions.
Requirement/Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Nuclear Plant Safety Systems and Components.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with multi-disciplined engineering or operations teams on BWR Nuclear Power Plant Systems.
In-depth knowledge of BWR reactor major NSSS systems (e.g., CRD, Recirculation, ECCS, RWCU, SLC, Main Steam - MSIVs and SRVs, HPCI, RCIC, HPCS) and their operation.
Strong engineering knowledge to perform complex design calculations, evaluations, and verifications.

Proven oral and written communication skills with experience in customer interface.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work effectively in teams.
Experience:
Experience with BWR reactor systems and their operations, including safety and non-safety system functions.
Familiarity with setpoint calculation standards and regulations such as ISA 67.04.01 and RG 1.105.
Experience working in a project management environment, with technical proficiency.
Demonstrated leadership experience with a minimum of 2 years as a lead contributor or lead on major projects.
Responsibilities or Duties:
Perform EPU evaluation for various NSSS systems.
Collaborate with a team of engineers to support general system evaluations and emergent system-related requests.
Lead and conduct calculations, design analyses, evaluations, and verifications for BWR safety and non-safety system functions.
Provide technical expertise to solve complex design problems and application issues within the BWR systems.
Support technical coordination and communication across engineering and operations teams.
Ensure compliance with relevant design standards, regulations, and operational guidelines.
Should Have:
Experience with nuclear power plant outages and nuclear industry practices.
Familiarity with project management practices within the nuclear power sector.
Commercial Nuclear Power Plant Systems experience is highly desired.
Professional Engineering License or an Advanced Degree from an accredited college or university is a plus.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge in BWR reactor systems and components.
Experience with the design, evaluation, and operation of nuclear power plant components, particularly BWRs.
Proven leadership and team collaboration skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, especially in a technical environment.
