Hiring Range: $81,600 - $93,240 Annually

Help improve the lives of North Dakota citizens by partnering with our customers to meet business needs, and to deliver transformational customer and state constituent experiences across Team ND. North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT) is seeking a Business Application Support Specialist III to join our team.

This role performs application tasks including; analyzing and coordinating software installations/upgrades; collaborating with users in application training and testing; troubleshooting and resolving application related issues; providing technical assistance in the planning, implementation, maintenance and documentation of agency systems.

As a Business Application Support Specialist III, you will:
•Provide advanced level support for multiple complex line-of-business applications and ensure systems are available and functioning as expected
•Manage and assign incidents related to the applications and perform advanced troubleshooting and involve other technology sections to provide on time solution
•Have advanced technical knowledge of applications (e.g. banking such as Fiserv, FIS, Finastra, and Microsoft Power Platform, etc.), problem solving skills, and resolution techniques.
•Collaborate with business resources to facilitate business and technical analysis to identify process improvement opportunities
•Understand how to mobilize the right resource for the right task
•Maintain a high level of interaction with the business users in understanding and resolving issues and defining strategies
To succeed as a Business Application Support Specialist III, you must have strong research abilities and a solid understanding of business workflow processes, software integration and support, database architecture, and technical terminology. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment that prioritizes quality and approach your work with curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning, welcoming observation and feedback. You must also be able to work both independently and collaboratively, while maintaining strong and productive working relationships.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

Bachelor's degree in Application Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field, and two years of experience in supporting business applications through software installation and upgrade coordination, user training and testing collaboration, issue troubleshooting, and providing high level technical assistance.

Additional work experience as described above may be substituted for the education requirement on a year for year basis.
