Job Description:

• The Phlebotomist I will assist in performing various assigned duties including blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, data recording, and workflow improvements.
• The role requires collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures, explaining the venipuncture process to patients, and demonstrating techniques using straight or butterfly needles.
• Additional responsibilities include matching laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes, labeling and packaging specimens for transport, maintaining sample integrity, complying with safety regulations, attending trainings, and responding to telephone inquiries.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment, if required.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skilled in drawing both pediatric and geriatric patients.

Qualification and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0 2 years of related experience.
