This position is primarily a consisting of Chemical Packing position and will assist and back up Maintenance needs on the shift.

PrideStaff Greenville is seeking a dependable & knowledgeable Chemical Packer / Maintenance Assistant on behalf of our client in Greenville, SC in the Woodruff Rd area.

We are searching for an experienced Chemical Packer / Maintenance Assistant with forklift experience. This person will eventually mix chemicals according to work orders. Qualified employees will start primarily in packaging as a drum filler & forklift operator, then progress into batch mixing duties. As needed, this person will perform scheduled maintenance and assist with equipment maintenance as needed.

Chemical Packer / Drum Filler responsibilities include:

• Label and package chemicals according to safe packaging guidelines
• Safely operate forklift in moving liquid filled containers
• Accurately measure & use basic math skills to mix raw material as recipe directs
• Lift and pour 50lb bags consistently
• Perform verification and visual inspections on all raw materials
• Ensure quantities, lot numbers, part numbers, are correct before starting batch
• Safely utilize equipment and wear proper PPE as instructed
• This is a team environment and all members take on additional chores like sweeping, trash removal, and cleaning common areas.

Chemical Packer / Drum Filler skills / experience include:

• Reliable; must be punctual and available with a good attitude
• At least 1yr of forklift operating experience
• Past batch mixing experience ()
• Basic math and measuring skill required
• Requires frequent standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for prolonged periods of time
• Strong attention to detail along with good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to wear facemask (at times respirators) and other PPE

Maintenance Assistant duties may include:

• Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment — Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principles.
• Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material — Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
