Description:

MAU is hiring a Materials Training Coordinator for our client in Greenville, SC. The Materials Training Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard work training modules and documentation for all materials-related roles across 2 Greenville manufacturing facilities. This role ensures consistent training practices, facilitates knowledge transfer across materials teams, and supports operational excellence through effective documentation and integration of materials functions including planning, scheduling, warehousing, and supplier interactions.

This position requires hands-on experience in materials management, SOP development, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and a strong ability to lead training and integration initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a contract position.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • 4 years of relevant experience in Materials, Planning, Execution, or Training Documentation.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Proficiency in Excel and document management tools.
  • Strong multitasking ability and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and systems-thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage all levels of the organization.
  • Experience leading or supporting cross-functional projects or training initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, maintain, and release Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials for all materials functions across both sites.
  • Deliver functional training for materials staff, covering warehouse movements, shop floor coordination, and vendor-related processes.
  • Identify and document localized practices and incorporate them into general training documentation.
  • Monitor team performance against established standards and proactively address gaps or risks to business objectives.
  • Organize and maintain a centralized library of training documents for Planning, Procurement, Warehousing, and other materials functions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including MRP, Purchasing, Production Control, Operations, and other relevant departments.
  • Ensure all materials team members complete required training within designated timelines.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for materials processes, offering guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Lead or support small-scale projects to improve training effectiveness, documentation, or operational performance.
  • Apply analytical thinking to solve problems and make informed decisions using both internal and limited external sources.

Working Conditions:

  • Split between office and shop floor environments.
  • Occasional travel between Greenville and Forrester facilities may be required.
