We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer (EIT) or Project Engineer (PE) to join the Mainstay Engineering Team.

Role Summary: Civil Design Engineer (EIT), or Civil Engineer (PE Licensed)

As a Civil Engineer you will be responsible for leading or being part of a team that works on various projects, ensuring proper site design, compliance with regulations, interdisciplinary coordination, and timely completion within budget constraints.

1. Civil Site Design and Planning

- Develop and design sites as required by clients

- Create detailed drawings, specifications, and BIM models using Autodesk Civil 3D and interfacing with Autodesk ACC, Revit, and Navisworks.

- Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects.

2. Project Leadership

- Participate as project lead or partner from inception through completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers.

- Ensure that projects meet deadlines, stay within budget, and adhere to quality standards.

3. Permitting and Regulations

- Prepare and submit permit applications for regulatory approval.

- Ensure all project designs comply with state and local zoning laws and environmental regulations.

4. Client and Stakeholder Communication

- Proactively communicate with relevant parties to discuss project requirements, progress, and outcomes.

- As requested, present reports, proposals, and plans to stakeholders, including clients, local authorities, and contractors.

- Ensure client satisfaction and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.

- Supervise junior design engineers

- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.

5. When a part of the project, review and return construction submittals, make site observations and attend construction meetings, and close permits.
