Our client, an established and growing manufacturing company, seeks to add an Accounting Manager to join their team, headquartered in Greenville, SC. The Accounting Manager will report to the Director of Finance and will oversee the accounting team with all financial transactions, accounting operations, compliance with regulations, and reporting to parent company and management. This is a high visibility role with a clear path for upward mobility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and banking transactions.
• Prepare and analyze transactions and postings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor and enforce internal financial controls and procedures.
• Assist CFO and parent company personnel with preparation of schedules and data for external auditors.
• Assist team with tax preparation and year end closing.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve systems and ensure compliance.
• Optimize and automate accounting processes to improve efficiency.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting management experience – overseeing a team of accountants.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite
• 5+ years of experience with bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Excellent accuracy and a detail-oriented mentality
