Responsibilities

Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Greenville team. Work location may be in Greenville or on projects in various locations based out of the Carolinas.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following: (other duties may be assigned)

  1. Review and finalize project business plans
  2. Assemble project management team with division management
  3. Assemble field supervision team with General Superintendent
  4. Review and evaluate prime contract with project owner and division management
  5. Lead correspondence with the Owner, Engineer and Architect
  6. Responsible for procurement and management of third party consultants (waterproofing, QC, geotech, etc)
  7. Manage subcontractor default insurance/risk mitigation plan for projects
  8. Obtain builders' risk, general liability insurance and bonding as required for compliance with prime contract
  9. Create staging, logistics and phasing plan for projects
  10. Work with pre-construction department to transition the project from estimating to project management
  11. Oversee issuance of subcontracts and purchase orders
  12. Work with project management team, scheduling consultant, and/or field supervision to schedule the project. Monitor overall project schedule on a monthly basis
  13. Oversee submittal process
  14. Establish project schedule of values and billing and payment application requirements. Track account receivables
  15. Review and estimate project contract changes (drawing revisions, ASI's, contract change directives) and coordinate with project delivery requirements
  16. Issue change order requests for work outside of the scope of the plans and specifications
  17. Responsible for project cost allocation and oversight of financial management process
  18. Review monthly financial projections through detailed monitoring of project costs
  19. Lead OAC progress meetings and review monthly status reports
  20. Provide feedback to estimating department on project(s) presently under construction
  21. Assist with business development initiatives for select clients and particular market sectors
  22. Train and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Co-Op/Intern Students

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor degree in construction, engineering, or related field, or related construction experience
  2. Minimum of 10 years of construction experience
  3. Understanding of all aspects of project management
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects and groups of people
  5. Proven leadership ability
  6. Working knowledge of Prolog and other construction software
  7. Thorough understanding of financial accounting systems
  8. Proven ability to deliver projects within contract requirements
  9. Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
  10. Technical writing skills
  11. Conflict resolution skills and experience with successfully resolving disputes
  12. Superior organizational skills
  13. Ability to multitask and prioritize resources
  14. Willingness to travel and/or relocate, as both may be required
