Provide trouble shooting and related shop support using advanced quality tools. Carry out special projects directed toward overcoming manufacturing problems considering lean manufacturing concepts. Prepares standard work, process flow diagrams, time studies, process FME - As, capability studies and control plans in support of new product releases, cost reductions and product modifications Uses interdisciplinary tools such 8 D Problem Solving and Value Stream Mapping to find cost effective solutions Specifies and develops the tooling and/or equipment necessary to manufacture a product with respect to the cost, quality, and ease of manufacturing objectives Responsible for determining the necessary sequence of operations needed to meet manufacturing, quality and cost requirements Identifies capital equipment requirements and prepares Return of Investment (ROI) calculations to justify expenditures.
