About the Role:The Consumer Loan Underwriting Support (CLUS) Specialist provides critical support to underwriters within the Consumer Lending Department. Reporting to the department manager, this role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of underwriting documentation and processes. The CLUS Specialist plays a key role in maintaining compliance, supporting internal teams, and enhancing the overall customer experience through timely and precise execution of tasks. What You'll Do:Review and audit loan files for missing information required for preliminary underwriting. Maintain and manage daily queues in the electronic loan origination system. Assist in ordering and reviewing appraisals and vendor billing for retail loans. Support underwriters with documentation and compliance tasks related to the Dodd-Frank Act.
