The role
As the Engineering Director, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will directly contribute to sustaining engineering support to Naval Operations and the provision of safe, available and capable submarines. You'll be responsible for providing integrated technical and engineering delivery solutions across Devonport Royal Dockyard. This remit covers complex assets and a highly regulated environment on the licensed site. You'll ensure that all engineering is aligned to the business objectives, delivers solutions, maintains the right capability and builds relationships and interfaces with our customer.
Day-to-day, the Engineering Director will:
This role is full time role, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. We are happy to consider flexible, blended working, including part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing. Please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview.
