Trillium Professional is now seeking an Industrial Sewer in Piedmont, SC for a direct-hire position!

The Sewer will operate an industrial sewing machine that has a 2-3-point needle. They will be drawing, cutting, stitching, and sewing a variety of materials in the design of parachutes for military aircraft. Utilize bolts, screws, clips, and fasteners for simple and repetitive assemblies of military aircraft parts and components.

Responsibilities:
- Use sewing machines to stitch fabrics, netting, and other woven materials.
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and approved sample to ensure that all quality tolerances are met or exceeded.
- Inspect and measure first piece, last piece, and intermittent pieces of each bundle of goods processed to verify conformance.
- Follows specifications on blueprints to draw, cut, and stitch materials.
- Ability to work with fiberglass.
- Performs assemblies of parts or components.

Pay rate is $18-23/hr depending on experience.

This is a 1st shift position with hours from 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. Currently working 1-hour of overtime per day and 1-2 Saturdays per month. This is a temporary overtime schedule due to an urgent military contract.

This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a full benefits package, including 3 weeks paid time off, medical PPO, dental, vision, and 401K with 9% company match.

Qualifications:
- Experience in an industrial sewing position with similar material (such as upholstery or military backpacks)
