Position Summary: With the Project Director's guidance and supervision, the Project Manager (PM III) is ultimately accountable for the success of TEiC projects. The PM III provides overall administrative and technical expertise and support on the assigned project. They implement and ensure safe project execution to TEiC's standards, aligned with cost, schedule, and contractual requirements to ensure financial success. The PM III leads all activities on and off the project site, focusing on high return activities. They are accountable to the PD for proactive leadership and coordination with all TEiC support groups involved in the project. The PM III will occasionally travel to the home office, job sites, or other corporate offices to support estimates, project development efforts, or strategic initiatives.

  • Delivers expected results in financial, safety, quality, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction.
  • Responsible for Project P&L, productivity, cost performance, and forecasting.
  • May oversee large and/or multiple small projects.
  • Must understand contract language and commercial terms.
  • Ensures project execution complies with TEiC policies, procedures, systems, and specific requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex procurements and subcontracts.
  • Monitors contractual commitments to ensure work aligns with specifications, drawings, contract terms, trend programs, and change order timelines.
  • Adheres to TEiC's code of conduct and business ethics.
  • Acts as the senior prime contact with the client for daily project issues.
  • Responsible for enforcing contractual responsibilities and resolving disputes.
  • Documents all client communications in accordance with contract terms.
  • Conducts periodic project and client meetings to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
  • Assists in staffing key site leadership positions and sourcing strategies.
  • Implements change management plans and negotiates changes with the client.
  • Ensures project controls are in place for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Prepares accurate monthly forecasts and manages project turnover activities.
  • Reports project status to stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Achieves results in financial, safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.

  • Oversees large or multiple projects.
  • Understands contract and commercial terms.
  • Ensures adherence to policies, procedures, and project requirements.
  • Manages procurements and subcontracts.
  • Controls contractual commitments and change orders.
  • Maintains compliance with TEiC's ethics standards.
  • Serves as primary client contact for project issues.
  • Enforces contractual responsibilities and manages disputes.
  • Documents client communications.
  • Facilitates communication through meetings.
  • Supports staffing and sourcing strategies.
  • Implements change management and negotiations.
  • Manages project budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepares and issues forecasts timely.
  • Documents turnover activities and obtains final acceptance.
  • Reports on project status to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 15+ years project management experience in industrial construction.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training (or equivalent) required prior to hire or within 30 days.
  • NCCCO Rigger Level I certification preferred; candidates without current certification may be considered if willing to obtain within 90 days.
  • Proven success leading merit labor and multiple subcontractors on complex projects.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Power Generation construction is required; experience in Pulp & Paper, LNG, Water Treatment is an asset.
  • Project experience with projects from $5M to $120M, involving significant subcontractor involvement.

Base pay range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 annually, with opportunities for career growth and development.
