Job Details

The Project Engineer plans, coordinates, and executes engineering activities with the project team to meet project requirements. They are also responsible for coordinating the resolution of engineering design and test problems. This position does not have direct reports.

Requirements

The ideal Project Engineer candidate has:

• Passion for staying on the cutting edge of technology by tuning and debugging custom factory automation for companies across North America (travel 10-15%).
• Instincts for tuning complex and intricate mechanisms.
• Experience working with mechanical systems, sensors, robots, motion control, pneumatics, hydraulics, and/or vision systems.
• Strong communication skills to understand customer needs and coordinate solutions within the Koops team.
• A team mindset and a desire to work collaboratively through employee ownership (ESOP).
• Professional presentation and a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
• A high standard of integrity.
• Creative problem-solving skills to develop solid solutions for customers.
• 10+ years of manufacturing and project launching experience.

Candidates should also have:

• A four-year engineering degree or applicable work experience.
• Experience with automated systems.
