This role has the responsibility to promote Fluors competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. This position supports the Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects and performs routine aspects of engineering assignments, applying basic engineering principles.Perform and check routine calculations, specify simple equipment, and solve problems of simple engineering complexityReview vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolutionMonitor material estimates and quantities; participate in equipment and material procurement activitiesAdhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and proceduresAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelinesOrganize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlinesOther duties as assignedNotice To CandidatesBackground checks are carried out as part of any conditional offer made, including (but not limited to & role dependent) education, professional registration, employment, references, passport verifications and Global Watchlist screening.Basic Job RequirementsAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and one (1) year of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirementsAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorsJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelinesAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective mannerEngineer-in-Training achievement status accomplishedAcquired knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materialsIntermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programsOther Job RequirementsProof of U.S. citizenship is requiredThis is an onsite position located at our Greenville, SC officeSalary Range61,500 to 104,500Market RateThe market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidates qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.BenefitsFluor is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote employee health, wellness, and financial security.
